A couple weeks ago my dad came to visit me over Labor Day weekend! On Friday I picked him up from LAX and we ventured over to Manhattan Beach where we had some tacos and margaritas at a Mexican restaurant called El Sombrero. We then took a stroll down the Pier where we had to take a daddy-daughter selfie. We grabbed another drink at The Strand House before heading back to Huntington Beach.
When we got back to Huntington we decided to grab a drink and watch the sunset at The Bungalow along the Pacific Coast Highway.
The next day we drove up to Santa Barbara. We walked along the Pier, admired all the fishermen and wandered around the town. It was such a cute place and I loved the vibe of all the wineries covered in vines.
We then drove to downtown Santa Barbara where we decided to grab an early dinner at a delicious Lebanese restaurant called Zaytoon. The food was incredible and it had the most beautiful outdoor patio area.
On Sunday morning we went for a fast walk along the beach in Huntington. I had to show my dad my new obsession of Acai Bowls so we decided to get some for breakfast at The Acai King on our walk back. So yummy!
Later that day we headed down to Laguna Beach where we walked around the town and grabbed some lunch at The Oceanview Bar and Grill. Not a bad view for lunch and drinks!
Afterwards, we headed up the coast a bit to The Beachcomber Cafe in Crystal Cove. It was such a cool little restaurant and bar right on the beach – very popular place!
As always, it was wonderful to have my dad in town visiting me for the weekend. I was able to go visit some places that I had yet to see and who better to share it with than my amazing dad. Miss him already!
