Last weekend when my sister was in town, we set out on a hike to find the Chiquito Falls. Well, we never found the falls. But we did get one hot and strenuous hike out of it. The hike was beautiful with amazing views of the Cleveland National Forest. We didn’t get started until 11am, so by this time it was so hot and it made the whole hike a struggle. And then the worst happened – we ran out of water. 2 hours in and still no sight of the falls, so we made a group decision to turn back and hike the final 2 hours back to our car, and most importantly, to ice cold water. Lesson learned – always bring extra water.
